Circular No 213

Newsletter for past alumni of The Abbey School, Mt. St. Benedict, Trinidad and Tobago, W.I.
Caracas, 3 December 2005. Circular No. 213

Dear Friends
Why there are numbers on the photos? This is because I do not know the name of the individuals and need your help!. Once you help me in this chore, I place the names, etc. at the bottom of the photo.
And Now how about Michael Azar?? I still have no response from him.
Would he be still the Big Joe that we all remember? Not until he gets well, since it is difficult to imagine a silent Big Joe.

I am sure that Michael is not getting our email messages.
What would be his email address?

This was a nice piece of detective work Nigel, we are all greatly in your debt.
As I told Ed Lloyd it is not time to call the SOB and give him hell for disappearing from the radar in such a sudden and ominous manner.
Thanks

Hey Ed,
I'm glad to see that someone else is concerned about Mike Azar.
I haven't been able to find anyone in Trinidad so far, who can even telephone his older brother and report back.
What's going on, eh?
Of course I remember Brian Lewis - great swimmer, if I remember, and I think he became an architect, not so?
I telephoned Trinidad to Joseph Azar's home and got Michael's sister's phone number in Oregon.
Spoke to Khalil, his brother-in-law who directed me to Michael's cell phone: 503-449-2105.
Apparently, he's doing OK, and he has a little business in Portland.
Anyway, the point of this is just to settle everyone's mind - Joe's fine and alive and kickin'.
Call him sometime.

Not sure if any of you remembered Brian Lewis from our Mount days, better known as 'Squeaky', I believe Brian left in Form 1 and went to Ireland then onto Canada to complete his studies.
Donald, you should remember him as I recall Mr Ali knocking both of your heads together when we were in Prep B or A during Religious instructions.
Have any of you heard from Michael? Has anyone contacted his family in POS?
Regards and God bless.

Brian,
I am not sure if you remember Michael Azar from your Mount days, and I wonder if you could do us a favour and call any of his family that are still in Trinidad.
The Azar's used to live in Goodwood Park and had owned the mall in downtown POS.
No one has heard from Mike in almost a year and we fear the worst, and help from your end would be appreciated by a whole lot of ex Mount boys.
Regards and God bless.

It's been close on a year now that I have heard from Big Joe.
Spoke to him over the Xmas period last year, had a few emails and that's that.
All my messages come back undelivered, hopefully noting sinister!

Howard,
Not a word.
I'm concerned, because I had asked the guys back home to check up on him through his older brother, but so far, nada!
Please let me know if / when he surfaces.

Looks like all of us are in the same boat.
May be we could ask Don Mitchell, David Bratt, Dennis Gurley or Anderson to go into POS to see if they can ask Joe Azar what is the scope on Mike Azar.

I've not heard from Big Joe for about one year as well.
Last time I heard from him, he'd told me that he wasn't very well, but no details!
He was due to have some operation or the other!
I've tried getting him on the phone number I had for him @ 1-888-586-7555 and also on 2 websites he was operating: www.up2me.biz and www.2yoursuccess.biz but the phone line has been disconnected and the websites are down.
Doesn't look good, fellas.
Calling any MSB contacts in Trinidad:
Can you please check out Joe Azar downtown PoS and find out from him what's the deal with Big Joe, please.
We're concerned about him and would like to find out how he's doing.
Your help would be very welcome indeed.
Regards, and thanks.
